Kat's K9 Cadets offers a variety of services, including professional one-on-one dog training lessons. We have been working with animals since 1991. When we train your dog, we pride ourselves in making training a fun experience. I offer 2 weeks of training. No two dogs are the same, so each training session is tailored to your individual pet's needs.

I come to your house where the problems are and evaluate the situation. I like to get to know you and your dog on a personal level. I make a lifetime commitment to you and your canine's life. I know how important your dog is to you and your family and that is why having a dog in your life should provide you with great joy and companionship, not extra burden or an endless source of frustration as is so often the case.

These are what I personally consider to be crucial, and always strive for when training dogs:

- To raise a well-respected canine citizen. I want happy, involved, outgoing dogs who are valued and trusted members of the community.
- To build a genuinely strong owner-dog relationship based on trust, cooperation and well-defined roles.
- To have confidence in and control of my dogs in any situation, including around kids and other animals.
- To work with my dog's natural drives and instincts, not against them.

Absolutely no cruelty or harsh "old school" dog training techniques. I certainly don't believe you have to "break a dog's spirit" in the training.

Pet sitting:

We will also pet sit cats, ferrets, birds... any animal you have, we will take care of them. If you're like us, your pets have become family members. When you can't be home for them, whether because of work, vacation or other obligations, you want them taken care of with the same love and attention you give them. That's exactly what we give them because we love pets!

We offer a multitude of services for a variety of pets. We can also handle various home services, which by making it appear that your house is occupied, can be a crime deterrent. Choose the schedule and services you want and we'll do the rest.

Our pet services include:

- Feeding/watering
- Walks
- Playtime
- Love and affection
- Caring for sick or elderly pets
- Brushing
- Shampooing
- Nail clipping
- Administration of medicine
- Litter box cleaning
- Transportation to vet or groomer

Home services include:

- Watering plants
- Bringing in newspapers/mail
- Turning on/alternating lights
- Opening/closing blinds
- Carrying trash in/out
- Security checks of all doors and windows
- Monitoring condition of the home
- Ensuring fence perimeter is secure
- Cleaning up pet waste in the yard as it occurs. We will clean yard of old accumulated pet waste.

- 1 visit per day (30-minute visits) -- $20.00
- 2 visits per day (30-minute visits) -- $30.00
- 3 visits per day (30-minute visits) -- $40.00
- Extended visits (15 minutes) -- $10.00

No charge for administering medications.

Dog walking:

Walks, playtime, companionship or just a good time. I come to your home and give your dog(s) a break anytime you need it.

We provide dog walking service 7 days a week.

- 15 to 20 minutes -- $20.00
- 30 to 40 minutes -- $25.00
- 40 to 60 minutes -- $30.00

Dog training:

We must understand our dogs psycholgy to get to the root of their behavior. We offer two weeks of training for a lifetime of happiness. We teach your dog to: sit, stay, down, wait and leave it, walk on a loose leash and come.

We work on puppy training, as well as do problem solving: barking, jumping, digging, chewing, house training, separation anxiety, aggression, Socialization and more.

These classes are for young dogs or older dogs with little or no training. Each class will be tailored to you and your individual pet's needs. No previous training is necessary at all. We come to you so you don't have to stress your dog out.

Dog training groundwork:

In the world of dog training, simple things can make or break a dog. Dogs are just like humans, they feel pain and sadness, and they know when they are being punished and praised. In my opinion, to have a great relationship between the human and the dog there have to be some ground level rules. These rules make up the groundwork for all my own techniques of dog training. These are not listed in any order of importance, as they are all equally important to the bond of dog and the owner:

Never hit or cause any pain to a dog. Always end a training session on a positive note. Be consistent with the dog as this makes the dog respect you as a leader.
