Introduction: We have been pet sitting & dog walking since 2003 and established ourselves as Central Jersey's Best Pet Sitting & Dog Walking Service. In 2007 we added Dog Boarding and provide that service on a very limited basis. We love what we do and it shows! I love everything about my job. My day is filled with happiness. The pets are always happy to see us and we love seeing them too. The owners love us because we love and care for their babies. There's no job like it in the world plus I always wanted to work with animals and now I do every day, and I'm my own boss. What could be better?

Aunt Darlene and Uncle Tom are the BEST. My husband and I relocated to NJ from Texas a little over a year ago. We had always left our 'bundle of Mini-Daschund joy',Duncan with our beloved family and friends who were able to watch him if we were to go away-and we never worried a BIT about how he was doing because he was in the care of our closest companions who loved him like he was their own. We had NEVER, EVER boarded Duncan before we moved here and when we realized that we had to do so on our first trips being up here alone I nearly had a panic attack. Not having any recommendations or initially doing deeper research to discover such a service as Aunt Darlene's-we set Duncan up at a doggie/kitty hotel near our house-yes it seemed nice on the outside but the way our dog came back petrified when we picked him up was absolutely heartbreaking. Yes, there are those people that say "dogs are just dogs and that it shouldn't be that big of a deal-they'll get over it", but I am one of those people that consider my dog like a child (there are many that feel the same!) and you'd want nothing but the best for them because they bring so much specialness to your life... and seeing Duncan's reaction when he jumped into my arms after being boarded at the one place made me sick to my stomach. Many trips and nightmares later I made a serious effort to do better research and found Aunt Darlene's. I knew something better had to exist-SO TRUE!! All the testimonials on her page say everything perfectly about the level of service and love that they provide your pet. We will use no one else as long as we live up here. It says it all when Duncan knows the moment you pull up to Darlene and Tom's house and he is about to jump out of the car to make a run for Darlene,Tom and their two dogs, Buddy and Pebbles. It makes your heart want to burst when I pick him up and to see how he is so happy to see me, but sad to leave them-Duncan seems to go through a slight withdrawl with all the fun he had and now it's back to the boring mommy and daddy. :) *****HUGE RECOMMENDATION-YOU AND YOUR PET WILL BE SO PLEASED!! Aunt Darlene's has been a life saver for us. We have 2 small papillons and one is a puppy mill rescue. Whenever we went away it broke our hearts to put them in a kennel especially the rescue, since he spent 7+ years in a cage without contact, except to breed. Their home is like your own and they love your pet like their own. Their beautiful 2 dogs, Pebbles and Buddy, make all visiting dogs feel welcome and calm. We can't say enough about how much attention our dogs get and how well they are taken care of. If your pets are part of your family like ours are, then Aunt Darlene's Pet Sitting is the best service to use. We hope they are around for a long time. I have been taking my dog to Aunt Darlene's for over a year now for both boarding and day care services, and I cannot say enough about Darlene and Tom Sawyer. When I first went to them, I was very disheartened and worried over my pet's care in my absence, as I had had a horrible experience at the local PetSmart Doggie Day Care center, and didn't trust that anyone would care for my dog the way the I would. Thank God that I was wrong. As pet caretakers, they are the very best in every possible way. They are true animal lovers, conscientious, kind, nurturing, structured and attentive. They take the time to get to know you and your pet, and take the necessary steps to ensure that your pet is in a safe and happy environment. They are thorough, professional, and serious about the care of your pet. They don't take any of your needs or your pet's needs lightly, and feel just as strongly about your pet's well-being as you do. It just doesn't get any better than Darlene and Tom, and I am constantly recommending them to friends and neighbors.

I just picked up my dog from Gino's house. She had a wonderful time! She played with the other dogs and met lots of new friends. It was great to know she was so well cared for while we were away! We've boarded our puppy with Gino of Aunt Darlenes twice now. On both occasions, he comes home happy and tired. He never seems overly excited to leave and the last time we picked him up, he gave Gino kisses before we left. Gino is so amazing, with the puppy and with my constanty texting to make sure all was well. We are grateful to have found someone we trust -- it's great peace of mind when you need to leave town. I'd recommend Gino to anyone!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a pet sitter, dog walker or boarding your pet you should always be offered a free consultation and make sure the person or service that you use is insured and bonded. If you don't feel comfortable with the person you interview you should trust your gut instinct and check out someone else. This is a person you are going to rely on to love and care for your precious pets and you should feel comfortable with that person, or you'll always have that uneasy feeling when you're away. Another thing I would look at is how the pet sitter/walker reacts to my pet, and how my pet reacts to them. Meeting your pet should bring a smile to your pet sitter's face. If not, find another sitter. It's also a really good idea to look up online reviews for the person, or service you intend to use as your pet sitter, dog walker, or dog boarding service. Read them all and look at the posting dates. I have seen reviews online that were so obviously faked it was ridiculous. One company listed reviews on a website that were all listed in the owners first name with 4 different initials for the last name, and they were all posted on the exact same day. Sometimes it easy to tell when the reviews are not real, and sometimes it's not. Use your own instincts to make sure you are 100% comfortable with the person you trust to care for your pets. It's worth taking the time to do your homework.
