Introduction: Any singer can hang a sign on their door and say they are a voice teacher. I am a certified teacher from NYU holding a post masters degree Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. I have a deep understanding of the anatomy of the larynx and body parts used in singing, the physics of sound, and the art of singing. I feel confident that all of my students will walk away with a healthy technique and will gain awareness so that they can prevent hurting their instruments. I love working with each student getting to know them and applying the technical aspect while making it accessible to their learning style and personality.

If you are not studying with Allison you are wasting your time and money. Allison is a kind, caring and nurturing teacher who loves what she does. Her knowledge base is extensive and her passion for music is extrememly motivating. I have learned so much about my voice from Allison and my favorite part is that I sound like myself. She brought out the best parts of my voice that I didn't even know was there and enhanced the sound that was there. The ease and flexibility I have found while singing is so freeing. My range has increased and in one lesson I can sing everything from legit opera to contemporary musical theater with a belt and then sing a pop song. I know I am singing correctly now because I can sing for hours without fatigue and in any style. Thanks to Allison my confidence has sufficiently increased and I find myself booking more gigs and roles than I ever have. Do yourself a favor and study with Allison. You will not be sorry.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend voice symposiums that are taught by leading professionals in the voice science field including voice teachers, doctors, otolaryngologists, speech pathologists and voice scientists. I am always reading about new advancements in the field to stay as current and connected with trends.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
"Rome wasn't built in a day." Building a solid and healthy technique is like creating a new habit. It takes time and practice outside of a lesson to progress to the next level.
