Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Although I do seldom work hourly, I prefer to be paid for projects with a fixed amount. In addition, I complete each project in segments, receiving payment after each payment is completed to the client's liking.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Don't underestimate the scope of the project and estimate a price and time frame because it's what you think the client wants to hear. That's just going to sell yourself short in regards to payment, and anger your client in regards to the time frame.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Be aware of my limitations before you hire me for something I can't do. Looking for someone to make a full-featured website? Keep looking-- my background is in animation and video. I know Actionscript and some PHP am fully capable and willing to do certain Flash-based components of a web site (like interfaces), but websites are not my specialty.
