Leslie has been teaching my son piano for nearly two years. She has a wonderful style that encourages and motivates my son. Her teaching style is extremely versatile and she tailors her instruction to his personal skills and abilities. She assesses a student's interests and capabilities and adapts her teaching methodology to maximize their experience. Leslie is a gifted pianist with a keen ear and provides constructive feedback that is always motivating and helpful. She is approachable, flexible and very patient. She cares about my child's musical development and he has thrived with her coaching. Leslie has instilled a love and appreciation for music and music theory in my son and she inspires him to excel.

Leslie has been teaching my children music for the past few years. First, in a young children's music class and now through private piano lessons. She has a wonderful way with children of all ages, listens to what interests them and respects their ideas. Leslie provides activities appropriate to each child's abilities, while at the same time, challenges them to grow. We look forward to seeing her each week as the kids want to show her what they have accomplished. We have also had the pleasure of attending some of Leslie's performances and always enjoy the grace, beauty and dedication she puts into each one.

She is the piano instructor at St Paul's Choir School, an after school program I direct for children ages 8 through high school. She teaches students of all levels and backgrounds. She does an excellent job of teaching piano as well as musicianship to each student. Highly recommended!

As a minister, I perform weddings and memorial services for families. It is critical to have musicians who can capture the right tone and work well with families. Leslie and I have worked together on many memorial services, and she is amazing. She is professional, courteous, delightful, and a fantastic musician to boot! Just recently, we worked together on a memorial service where there was a tight timeline. Leslie helped suggest excellent music, worked with the family opera singer, and performed beautifully on our piano and organ. I was grateful.

I have a range of hourly rates and work out a rate reasonable to each client.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the client (and the family if the new student in a child) to demonstrate and explain my methods and policies. Every lesson builds on the small successes, and I work hard to establish building blocks of mastery.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have earned two degrees in Music, including a Masters degree in Piano Performance. I have been teaching all ages for over twenty years in a wide variety of settings. I know that solid learning is built on relationships.
