FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have a standard pricing system. My rates are reasonable. However, the options and schedules and related pricing are best discussed once I have made contact with the potential student.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to make the customer feel comfortable. It is very difficult to learn and enjoy the lesson when you are nervous or uncertain. Secondly, I look to understand the customers expectations from taking guitar lessons. I determine areas to focus on to help the customer attain their goals. Lastly, I create an approach that will be both fun and productive for the student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in business but I studied music also in college. I have been in numerous bands over the years. I have worked with booking agents and played venues across NJ and NYC in both original and cover acts. I appear on two albums from other artists and have two albums of my own in distribution. I have also contributed music to film. I have over 50 copyrighted works registered with the library of congress. I have had many hundreds of students over the past 21 years of teaching that have gone onto professions in music.
