Introduction: We offer professional instruction in kickboxing and submission grappling for all levels, beginner through intermediate and advanced.
We have an extremely clean facility with viewing area, changing and restrooms.
Classes are Monday through Saturday for all ages 5 and up. We have 3 separate age groups: children 5-7, kids 8-14, adult/teen 15 and up.

I have been a student at Tiger Schulmann's Wayne for several years now. At the age of 50 I feel I am in the best shape I've been in since high school! The martial arts are a personal journey and the instructors help each of us achieve our goals day by day. The atmosphere is a family one. We encourage each other every step of the way. I have made many personal friendships there and enjoy watching my friends succeed! There are people of all ages and abilities and I've personally seen people reach a fitness goal that they could never reach before. The practical self defense knowledge is important to me as a female, and my daughter is now a student learning the same valuable skills. The school is always clean and inviting and I enjoy every moment I'm training there! Highly recommend coming for a trial class!!

I have been training with Sensei Zapfel at Tiger Schulman in Wayne for 12 years. Sensei Zapfel is an amazing instructor and motivator. Regardless of your goals Sensei Zapfel will cater the experience to your needs and desires. I can't think of a better way to stay healthy and in shape. This training will blow away any Gym experience.

Life changing experience!!..
I started my 5 year old son with Tiger Shulmann of Wayne about 9 months ago. My son was a typical hyper active bouncing off the walls kid. I was looking for him to learn some discipline, respect, and better focus. In just the 1st month my wife and I saw all 3 of those aspects immediately start to take affect with him.
Now 9 months later I can't even express the gratitude I have for Sensei Zapfel and the entire Tiger Shulmann of Wayne staff for what they have done for our son as he has been developing his skills and maturing is behavior in such a short time. He has been tremendously better in all aspects at school, home and all around.
It didn't stop with just my son. Along the way as I was watching my son in action. I would see the adult class start to come in and get ready as the kids core class was wrapping up. I was truly inspired by everything I was seeing with my son. I started sticking around for a couple of minutes to watch the adult class start.
I had been saying to myself for some time that I needed to start doing something for myself to get back in shape. Realizing that I was 36 years old and 265 lbs. I clearly wasn't on the right path for myself in life and health. So 5 months ago I pulled the trigger and signed up... I went to talk to Sensei Zapfel about myself, my goals, and the shape I wanted to be in.
Well now its been 5 SHORT months later and I've lost 31 lbs and counting. I weighed in yesterday at class and the scale said 234 lbs. I couldn't feel more proud of myself and I feel great! More importantly I'm motivated to keep going! The staff here at Tiger Shulmann of Wayne and fellow students are truly so supportive.
As my son and I were both experiencing such great success together. I gotta say one of the biggest rewards is that this has been one of the greatest bonding experiences for us I that I could have ever asked for.
As if my story would stop there... My wife also has now just joined the Tiger Shulmann team this month with us as well and is excited to start feeling that self regarding experience for herself.
It's the coolest thing that all of us in my household is now apart of the Tiger Shulmann family together. All of us sharing this experience together is truly priceless. Only person left in our house is my 2 yesr son. However I can't wait untill his 3rd birthday so we can get him started as well.
I strongly recommend and encourage kids and adults of all ages to join the Tiger Shulmann experience and family. It's never too late... I truly believe that it would be just as much of a life changing experience for you as it has been for our family.
