Hiyan Bitar is a Rockstar:) She does PRECISION permanent eye makeup. I went to her to have upper lid eyeliner done and I am thrilled. She was able to give me cat eyes eyeliner - thicker lines that extend to fine points just a little bit past the edges of the corners of my eyes (wings). That kind of eyeliner usually takes me a very long time to do, and to do it every day is a real pain even though I like how it looks. In summers past, even though I used waterproof liquid eyeliner, it would always melt and come off on the top part of my eyes and I would end up looking like a train wreck. Now, it's on my eyes every day when I wake up, stays put and I don't have to do a thing! If you are worried that it will hurt to have this done, everybody's pain level is different. I have a tattoo on the top of my foot that I didn't have any anesthetic for when I had it done so I knew I would feel SOMETHING when she did the procedure on my eyes, but having my eyeliner done was a BREEZE. Hiyan uses a very effective anesthetic that she applies to your eyelids @ 45 minutes before the ink- so during the actual procedure you feel the pressure against your eyelids and hear the buzz of the tool she is using but I personally did not have ANY pain - if you wear contact lenses and have really sensitive eyes, you should bring your contact lens case w/saline and your glasses so you can take your lenses out to avoid putting pressure on your lenses against your eyes, some people might find that uncomfortable. I had some eyelid swelling for about a day which was to be expected, put A&D ointment on where she applied the eyeliner tattoo for about a week (just like when you get a regular tattoo) and that was it. Expect some sloughing off when you wash your face, but not much. Then it is healed and you will think it is the coolest thing. Hiyan is so nice, if she doesn't think something will look good on you she will refuse to do it - she won't just put something on you and take your money - she takes her time with you, and wants to make her clients feel beautiful. You really get that genuine feeling from her that she really enjoys her work, she wants you to be happy. Hiyan also works with cancer patients that have lost all their hair, eyebrows and eyelashes- she is able to use permanent makeup to give their faces definition again to make them feel better. She is a true professional with years of experience and IMHO a real artist. Best wishes to you Hiyan for continued success. Thank you for doing such a beautiful job, I love my eyeliner!!:)

I went to Hiyan for both upper and Lower eyeliner. She is a certified, experienced and educated individual in the field of Permanent cosmetic. Hiyan was totally honest and upfront about the total cost based on the comllexity of the procedure. In addition her facility is spotless. Her work is done a sterile environment and it is obvious she adheres to all sanitary codes. When the procedure was completed I was thrilled. Her work is flowless and she knows what will look appealing based on any individula's personal features. Hiyan is an ethical, responsible, friendly and skilled woman who can be trusted to do an excellent job with such delicate permanent procedure. I am extremely happy with the results and I highly recommend her.

About 5yrs ago I had both my eyebrows and upper/lower eyeliner done and since the person who did it for me neglected to return my messages, I decided to find another micropigmentation cosmetic artist. I went onto Groupon and came across Derma Couture Permanent Cosmetics. So happy I went there…actually, I just had it done today! After being greeted by a friendly receptionist, I was introduced to Hiyan, a petite Asian woman. I am Asian so you can imagine how ecstatic I was to know that I would have someone with a complete understanding of the contour of Asian eyes. I gave her an idea of what I wanted, but also listened to her advice. After all, she’s been doing this for over 20yrs so she obviously is very knowledgeable in knowing eye contours/lid elasticity, etc. She refined my idea (which was a bit dramatic) with something more natural looking, which I’m so glad she did (bc I don’t think I would have liked my decision walking out of the clinic looking like Amy Winehouse). Throughout the entire semi-consultation (remember, I’ve had this procedure done once before) I didn’t feel rushed to make a decision. I decided to go for the cat-eye look and Hiyan informed me it was going to cost more…which was quite fine with me. To the person who wrote the review about it costing more money, think about it: it’s a tattoo – one where the artist has to be so carefully precise since they are working on the eye area. Of course it’s going to cost more, it’s cosmetic after all. Not to mention it’s a service that is a per-job basis: you want more work done, you will need to pay more. People are willing to pay more than $400 for cellphones that will be upgraded in 2yrs, yet they argue bc they want to pay less than that for cosmetic artistry? Enough said. Throughout the eyeliner procedure both her and her assistant (Heather) were so meticulous, working perfectly to make sure I was comfortable. Let me just say I can’t stress enough how clean and how sanitary she is! YES her office table is a bit scattered with papers, pens, etc (then again, so is a doctors’ office), but that has no correlation to her cleanliness. I was pretty amazed at how sanitary and hygienic Hiyan was – even for the smallest of things like making sure I washed my hands before I touched my eyes. Also during the eyeliner procedure, when she handed me a hand-mirror, the handle was wrapped in plastic wrap. Another point for sanitary efficiency! Those small things were major positive signs for me. I was so thrilled with the end result. The upper liner she did on me today was incredible and I can wholeheartedly say my eyes are PERFECT!! They look so natural and simply beyond amazing. It’s like an artist took a paintbrush and crafted the most beautiful brush stroke… I came on here to write a short review, however clearly my subconscious decided to make it longer for the simple fact I was SO satisfied with what I had done today. I have no idea how or why there are even negative reviews on here bc I personally didn’t encounter any cons with Hiyan, her competent work ethic or her staff. I will be going back in 3wks for a touchup and possibly in the future get my eyebrows redone by her. As a matter of fact, I have already been telling friends about her. They deserve to look great.

I had my bottom and top permanent eyeliner applied by Hiyan. She was extremely professional and made me feel very much at ease (I was a bit nervous!). Hiyan is truly one of the nicest, friendliest, and most welcoming people I have ever met! I'm extremely satisfied with my result and would definitely recommend coming to Derma Couture for your permanent makeup!

I purchased a groupon, and nobody has called me back - it's been over a month! I'm pretty pissed off I paid for a service I can't even get a live person to call me back after leaving message upon message for 6 weeks. This is piss poor....
