FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The following is a brief sampling of some of the work I'm currrently doing: I'm working with issues around sexual and pornography addiction with several clients, and with family issues including teenagers and blended families with other clients. I'm working right now with a family challenged with a rebellious teenager, meeting with the whole family as well as with different constellations of family members. I'm also helping a couple heal following an infidelity and betrayal in the relationship. I'm working with helping several clients find ways to achieve more inner peace utilizing meditation, guided imagery, conscious breathing, Emotional Freedom Technique, and progressive relaxation. I successfully helped one client very recently secure a top IT job with a Fortune 500 company by tweaking his resume, create stellar cover letters, manifestation work to "create" his ideal career path, and role-playing the interview process. Now we're focusing on his love life and manifesting a meaningful relationship. I have another highly successful client in financial services in Manhattan who doesn't feel successful. We're implementing ways to overcome his dysthymia (long-standing depression) and regain his confidence, keeping his mind out of focusing on the past. Another client struggles with ADD and we're creating and implementing tools to help her move forward in all aspects of her life. more to come...
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Some advice: . Make sure you feel "safe" and comfortable with your coach or therapist. Don't be shy about asking questions and don't hesitate to "move on" if you don't feel you're getting the help you need. (Don't allow any provider to "guilt you" into staying with them if it doesn't feel like a good fit.) . Before you share your problem or concern, ask the provider what they do and how they do it.. that is, how they actually help people achieve results, actually change. Be wary of what is known as the psychodynamic approach where "let's talk more about this next week" becomes a bottomless pit of "how does that make you feel?" questions, and you get little or no actual direction or guidance.
