Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Don't be afraid to ask questions, there are no stupid questions, only stupid mistakes. Ask for references, and to see photos of other work completed. When choosing a contractor, the best advice I can give, is to... Go with your gut. If you feel like there is something not right, about a contractor, then there probably is. Trust your instincts.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Don't base your decisions on a particular brand of equipment because of the name. Any brand of equipment is only as good as the company installing it. All of the major heating and air conditioning manufacturers make and sell products under different brand names. Bryant and Carrier, American Standard and Trane, York, Coleman and Luxaire, are all the same product, they are just marketed under different names.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. This is a rather broad based question, about asking questions. If something stands out about the way a contractor presents him or herself, that has you ask yourself about that individual. Then by all means, say it out loud. If you have doubts and keep them to yourself, you will always have those same doubts. It's human nature to want to be liked but your deciding whether or not your going to be spending your hard earned money. So ask the hard questions.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Do your home work about what it is you want from a heating or cooling system. Do you want rebates ? Do you want to go Green ? Do you want dependability at a reasonable price? How long to you plan to stay in your home? What kind of Warranty do you want. I would concern myself more with the installing contractor warranty than the manufacturers promises. The law is an installing contractor must warranty their work for parts and labor for a period of one year. I warranty all my installations for two years minimum. I'm confident that when I'm finished in your home, the job is done right and unless the equipment fails, the customer will not have any problems.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We pay attention to detail. It is important to us that our work, Looks Nice and well as Functions properly. I would never do anything in a customers home that I wouldn't do in my own.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. What I like most about being in business is developing employees. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and get fired up when I see the light bulb go off over a guys head when he understands something for the first time.
