Survey findings and summary
After a two-month survey of over 6,000 small business owners nationwide, Thumbtack.com has released new data showing that despite giving the city an 'F' for its licensing regime, Albuquerque small businesses are the second-most optimistic nationally about their future prospects.
Some of the key findings for Albuquerque include:
- Albuquerque small businesses awarded it a 'B+' for overall small business friendliness, and an 'A' for its health and safety regulations.
- Surprisingly, male-owned small businesses in New Mexico felt much more comfortable economically than did their female counterparts. Male entrepreneurs were almost three times as likely as female entrepreneurs to rate their company's current financial situation as "good" or "very good".
