A/B Tire has been open since 1968 here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is locally owned and operated by a bunch of hard working people like you and me in New Mexico, USA!
We specialize in small fleets but no job is too small for us. We service everything, from the little wheelbarrow tires and tubes, to the snow/rafting tubes, passenger cars, light truck tires, RV's and pull behind travel trailers, small tractors, semi trucks and all the way up to the big front end loaders.
We are the only shop in the area that will still do split rims. We have the ability to press on and off forklift solid tires, and foam fill the others. We carry the Kevlar sealer that will seal up to a 1/4" hole in most OTR and ATV tires.
Why send your tires to the landfill?
We transport our take-off tires to a facility that shreds them for green use from playground ground cover to firing up a coal fired plant. Basically, in a nutshell, we are here to make you not worry about what you drive on, just how you are getting there.
Question and answer
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. If I was a customer, I wish I knew about date codes on tires. They are the life line of the tire and the reason so many fall apart on the road; especially on trailers. All you do is read the D.O.T. number on the side and you will find a four digit number(hopefully not a three digit...old) which is stamped after the D.O.T. and signifies the week and year the tire was born.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We take the extra step to insure that your tires are the best ride you can get. We use the latest balancers...road force...and some of the latest type of balancing...equal. We also stock snow chains and tubes as well as dolly and some atv tires. Split rims our one of our specialties since most shops won't touch them. RV'ers are our friends.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. WOW! How long have you been here? 1968
How come none of the other shops that worked on my tires couldn't find the out of round tire or cracked rim? We work on only tires by hand, that is what makes the difference.
