Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Look at their portfolio and references. It's always good to see if they will be able to give you what your looking for as well as how do you get along with them personally.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. It's a lot harder than it looks....But if you know the tricks it can be very rewarding.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I feel that we provide a higher level of craftsmanship and knowledge of the craft. We research each project to custom create one of a kind finishes and designs to enhance your decor.We are setting the standard for decorative painting here in the southwest, using new and innovative techniques in the Faux finishing field.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What is this going to cost?. My answer is always the same. I know that every one has a budget and we can acomodate Faux finishes and Designs for any budget,From a 16th. century Rococco ceiling mural to a tiny powder bath.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I love to do Gilding, which is Gold leaf application. I once received a commission to Gild an entire Mansion. My crew and I spent nine months doing gold leaf on numerous ceilings and moldings in the home.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am continually trying new products and techniques in the studio. I am always striving to be a better artist. I am planning a trip to Versailles France in the Fall for a 6 month painting intensive...
