A. There are a lot of problems that are actually fairly easy to solve. Before you call around to get estimates, try out these simple trouble shooting tips:
1) Reboot the computer: powering off and back on fixing a surprising number of problems.
2) Check for loose connections: Loose cables can cause a loss of data, or complete system failure. If you are comfortable opening your computer casis yourself, then check for loose cables if nothing is turning on.
3) Check the plug! Nothing is more frustrating than paying a technician for an hour of service just to have him plug in your computer for you.

A. I am frequently asked why my rates are so much lower than Geek Squad or some other repair companies. The answer is that I actually repair what is wrong with your computer, if a full re-installation isn't necessary or you don't actually need to replace those hardware components then I won't try to make you. That saves you money.
A. I once had a client's computer crash from a bad virus the day before her final paper was due. I was able to recover her paper from the hard drive in time for her to turn it in and receive full credit in the class. Afterwards I brought the computer to full operational capability and removed all signs of the virus.
