A couple of weeks ago my desktop pc refused to load. I normally spend six hours a day on this computer working on a research project and while all of the files are backed up, but I am completely dependent on this computer. In a panic I called the individual who normally services the computer and was unable to locate him. It was at this point that it was my good fortunate to stumble upon Armando in Thumbtack. He arrived at my door precisely on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. In the process of doing so he identified a number of issues that had been causing the computer to behave erratically at times as well as running unusually slow. On my request he cleaned these problems up and then downloaded my files from an external drive to insure there were no corrupted files in memory. While waiting for these files to load he did some housekeeping blowing out dust that accumulated within the computer, cleaning the screen and the keyboard. My computer now runs faster than it has for years and all the various glitches have disappeared. I have had a number of different techs who have worked on my computer over the years. None of them come even close to Armando in terms of competence and professionalism. I could not possibly recommend anyone more strongly than Armando Romero. An A++, without any reservations.

I had an iMac from 2009 that had been misbehaving in various ways, so I called a computer technician who had worked on it previously. When he finally got back to me a week or so and several messages later, he came to the house and ran a diagnostic, and said that everything was fine except the hard drive, which was about to give out and was the source of all the problems. He took the computer away and ordered a new solid-state drive. By the time he returned it several weeks later, I had paid $600 for a new solid-state drive, plus several hundred more for his time and labor, and within a couple of weeks all the old problems resurfaced. I attempted to contact him via his website, including a description of what was going on, and he never responded. Eventually I decided that it was probably time to start over with a new computer, so I ordered one. In the meantime my husband had found Armando and was so pleased with the work on his PC that I decided to ask him to set up the new computer and transfer everything from the old one, rather than taking both to the Apple store and either waiting there most of the day or having to make a second trip to pick them up. The short story is that Armando came to the house the next day and spent most of the day making the data transfer. In the process he identified the problem with the old computer that was related to the new SSD. By the time he left the new computer was up and running and the old computer was running better than ever before. I can't emphasize enough what a relief it is to have finally found someone so competent, reliable, and personable, who is knowledgeable about both Macs and PCs, and who performs the work in your own home. His rates are very reasonable and he was able to come on very short notice. What a find! I am recommending him to everyone I know.

Hung a flat screen TV on the wall and got it connected to cable and help with wire management of the cable and Internet systems. Arrived on time and completed the job in the amount of time promised. He is very detailed and cleaned up along the way.
