I had two trees in my backyard that I chopped down, but had not way to get rid of them. I called Bluse Sky Services, they got the trees out of my yard and loaded onto a trailer, hauling the mess away. Thanks for everything, my backyard looks great again!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I get called the most often to replace doorknobs and deadbolts. Often someone wants to update the look of their home, for example changing from brass to nickel type knobs throughout the interior of the home.

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. I picked up a treadmill to move to another house.
I installed new baseboard trim in a remodeled front room, after a previous workman had done a sloppy job.
I replaced an interior closet door that had been damaged, and matched the new one.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I am clean in my work, neat and organized. I will not start a project and then leave it undone while I start another project elsewhere. I finish what I start, and communicate with the homeowner throughout the process to make sure they are happy.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. If I am building something new or installing something, such as baseboard, cabinet, a new sink, I really enjoy the look of the finished product. I take pride in my work. I really enjoy building relationships with repeat customers, especially the seniors.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Every repair job requires going back to the shop to get the right tools for the job or to get a different truck, moving equipment or the trailer. The customer does not know that there is another 30 minutes to an hour of loading or unloading, sometimes getting parts, and driving in addition to the time they see you at the job.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. I had a customer that had purchased a bathroom vanity cabinet from an older home. She wanted her existing cabinet removed, and the "new: one installed. She wanted to reuse the sink and countertop. She also wanted me to install a new faucet, mirror, light fixture, new towel bars, and shower rod. She wanted me to go to meet her at the store to help her find the items at an affordable price. In the end, the project cost her half of what the bathroom remodel company wanted. It took two days from start to finish, and her labor costs were $400.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. Often times I get told, "I have a yard that has some junk in it that I need hauled away, what is the price?" But the yard could have anywhere from an hour to 3 days worth of junk piled that needs to be hauled away. It is impossible to bid certain things without seeing them.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. I am very detailed, and I like the look of the finished job, it is ice to take pride in your work. Even the smallest job is important to the customer.

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. What does it cost to get a doorknob and deadbolt removed from a front door, and the new ones installed?
You can usually find a nice doorknob and deadbolt combination at the store for under $100, and I can install it for $50.
