Survey findings and summary
Thumbtack.com, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has released the new results from the second annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey. The 2013 study draws upon data from over 7,000 small business owners nationwide and shows that despite its continuing struggles with high unemployment, small businesses still view Nevada favorably.
Some of the key findings for Nevada include:
- Nevada earned an 'A+' for the ease of starting a business in the state. Additionally, its training and networking programs were given an 'A-' grade.
- Small businesses gave Nevada an 'A' grade for its tax code, ranking it among the best in the country both in terms of business friendliness and ease of understanding and filing.
