- You choose your musical direction, I serve as the guide! What I show my students is based on what they truly want to learn and what they may need to understand musically first. Scales, chords, arpeggios, theory, techniques, etc. are all learned as they become applicable.
- I specialize in teaching songwriting/improvisation, and am happy to help students record their very own albums when they are ready!

Don is a fabulous teacher! His guitar playing skills are impressive. His love and appreciation for music is shown through his teaching. He comes to my house for private one hour lessons each week and teaches me the style and songs that I want to play. I was inspired to learn guitar after I saw a Rodrigo y Gabriela concert. AMAZING! I have been taking lessons for over a year and I have learned some much. Don can play just like Rodrigo y Gabriela and I am starting to play like that too. I just have to keep practicing... I had played piano when I was younger, but had no understanding of guitar. Don is patient and can explain methods very clearly. If I can learn to play, I know that anyone can have that talent. I would highly recommend Guitar Lessons by Don for all ages and anyone who wants to learn how to play the guitar!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Ask teachers what sets them apart from others, about their philosophies... Make sure they have a contract, and are able to answer questions you might have. Oh, and have a playable instrument!
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Musical talent is not as important to the success of any musician as is their desire and dedication to be successful.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Any they have! A professional should be able and happy to answer anything about their business, and in the answer also show the consumer that they can be trusted.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Before taking lessons of any kind, I think buyers should consider the commitment/practice that they must put in from there on out to truly unlock the benefits of taking the lessons, and to see the potential of the teacher as well.
