Jay photographed our family during a trip to Maui and he was wonderful to work with! He responded to my initial inquiry on Thumbtack very quickly. We sent a few messages back and forth to determine timing, location, and type of shoot we were interested in. He also sent me a reminder text the day before the photo shoot. We had a large group (9 people), including two young kids with short attention spans. We did a 30-minute mini session, and Jay managed to get tons of great photos in that short amount of time. He even kept the kids entertained and engaged throughout the shoot. He sent us the finished photos very quickly and I am so happy with the quality of the pictures! We will treasure these photos and the memories of our trip to Maui forever!! I highly recommend Jay if you are looking for a portrait photographer in Maui.

I met Jay here on Thumbtack and booked him for photography on a destination engagement in Maui. From the first point of contact, Jay was professional, communicative, helpful and made the whole booking process seamless. Jay was instrumental in picking out our location, as I wasn't familiar with the intricacies of the local area. He met us there and was early, texting the entire time to confirm that everything was a go and our location was ready for our surprise landing. He and his assistant were lovely to work with throughout the entire shoot, making us feel relaxed, confident and overall just showing us a great time. I would absolutely work with Jay again if I ever wind up back in Maui and definitely recommend his work!

My daughter did her senior pictures with Jay. She doesn’t like talking to people (like most teenagers) but he made it really fun and comfortable for her. His photos were great, he took so many in a row they were like like an old fashioned flip book. We had tons of pictures to choose from. Jay did such a great job!
