Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. Seamingly Straight Inc. is very honored to have been chosen by Sherwin Williams to provide interior and exterior services for them. Our customers reviews which mention our "attention to detail" was what put us on the top of the contractors list. The Las Vegas's FireFly Restaurants hired Seamingly Straight Inc. to install their delicate black on black crushed velvet wallpaper.
Upon completion of installing wallpaper at the FireFly Restaurants, We were contracted by the owner to float out walls and installed wallpaper at their home.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. The construction field has changed in this economy. The customer has a lot of un-qualified workers to sift through. Here in Las Vegas, the first question all customers need to ask of the Licensed State Contractor is do they have Liability Insurance. Liability Insurance protects the customer more than the contractor.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. We are all in the trades to make money and pay our bills. In an attempt to win the contractors loyalties...Manufactures / suppliers give discounts to contractors. Some contractors will give you a very low labor price, then make up their profit on the supplies. If a contractor offers to charge you labor and allow you to pay for the supplies.....pay attention. He or she is showing you something rare....."Old Time Ethics" If they set you up in conversation directly with the suppliers you will save money. Manufactures and suppliers some time double or triple the price of the product when selling to the public. They give substantial discounts to their contractors. When your contractor passes his or her discount on to you, it could be a considerable amount of money.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We are A+ rated by B.B.B. and Angie's list. We listen to our customers needs and then equip them with their choices. We have not missed a deadline since 1979.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Each week we meet new people and try our best to help complete their projects. We end up with a lot of new friends.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. In Las Vegas Nevada Unlicensed contracting is a crime in Nevada. The first offense is a misdemeanor and the worker is subject to a fine.... of not more than $1,000, and may be further punished by imprisonment
in the county jail for not more than 6 months.
The second offense is a gross misdemeanor and subject to a fine of not less than $2,000
nor more than $4,000, and may be further punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 1 year.
The third or subsequent offense is a category E felony and subject to a fine of not less than $5,000 not more than $10,000 and may be further punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not less than 1 year and not more than 4 years.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Seamingly Straight has the honor of being the certified and qualified applicator for several companies. We have extended our training and application knowledge into the nano-technology field.
