- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
So, hes popped the question, (or you have!) and you are getting married! Now the fun begins. There are so many plans to make and things to think about. The main thing that you will want to decide on is what kind of a ceremony you would like. Religious, Civil, Spiritual, Secular, Theme, Alternative, etc. When you have decided the type of ceremony you want, the next thing to decide is where and who will perform your ceremony. The Bride is the focal point of the Day... but the Officiant is the focal point of the Ceremony. This is why it is very important to choose carefully. Questions to ask before you decide on your Officiant are: Is the Officiant experienced? Does your Officiant have the proper Certification / Licensing to perform Weddings in your area? Will your Officiant customize their ceremony script to your desires? Does your Officiant require pre-marital counseling? Will your Officiant travel to you? Are "looks" and attire important to you? If so, can the Officiant meet your needs and requests? Ask your wedding officiant about fees, travel expenses and/or donations. Make sure there are no hidden costs.
