Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I shoot a lot of model portfolio work, art documentation and portraits (commercial, fine art and personal).

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be as thorough as possible with your request. That will make it easier for me to provide you with a detailed estimate in return and creates a more productive dialogue.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. It's important to understand the real value of the services you are requesting. While it is no secret that in an economy that is struggling, everyone is trying to save some money... it is still important to make sure that you are selecting the best provider for the job, not just the cheapest.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy working with people. As a portrait photographer, getting to know your subject is extremely important. That, and being able to operate on my own schedule without limitation.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I subscribe to publications and take courses (online and in-person) when I can. I also mentor other photographers, which helps me stay on top of trends by staying current with what others want to learn.
