I am a professional makeup artist who has been working in the industry for five years. I am passionate about
the art of cosmetology and the relationship with her client.
I specialize in weddings but also works on other special occasions such as proms, sweet 16s, bar/bat mitzvahs,
high school reunions, military balls and photo shoots.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Make-upbyamelia.com started all by word of mouth. I was originally referred to my first bride by someone I worked with. That bride loved that I was able to customize her look to who she was (not A TON of make-up) and her bridesmaids felt the same way. Through that one recommendation the business grew through referrals because I do not just put the same heavy look on every bride.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Customers usually ask me about pre-wedding skin routine which I usually answer on an individual basis. Everyone's skin concerns are different and my knowledge of different types of skin care and brands allows me to customize for each client. I almost always recommend lots of exfoliation, both chemical and physical.
Customer's also commonly ask about foundation. Many of my clients do not want to look like they are wearing a mask, or don't look like themselves. The trial is key to determine the amount of make-up someone is comfortable with but I definitely assure my clients that they will not look like they are wearing a mask. I always make sure that my clients are 100% comfortable and love their look!
