- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nothing complicated. Try to give a fair price, and if there is a larger group, try to give them a fair discounted price also.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am training center faculty, which means I train others how to become instructors, so I am always keeping up with new changes or techniques, because I am the one responsible to teach my instructors these changes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
MY mom had a heart attack several years ago, and the symptoms she showed were not of what one would expect of a heart attack. She had a severe abdominal and back pain. I recognized that it maybe a heart attack, while my father didnt believe me. When they did the EKG in the emergency room and saw she was having a heart attack, I lived in Mexico for 5 years, and Peru for a year, and know that the people there do not have the opportunity to have a CPR class like they do here in high school or in college (I learned the first time in college). Knowing my parents not to know how to CPR if I wasn't there, encouraged me to teach classes first to the Spanish families at Greenburgh Health Clinic, which I would say is the patients are 90% Hispanic there. Since they never get a course of CPR in their home countries, i had a chance to teach them something.
