Hi, my name is Desmond. I'm 36 years of age, a non drinker, non-smoker, very dependable, athletic, and thoroughly detailed person with great work ethics. I can work as a foreman, super handyman, or master carpenter.
I am able to work in all weather and a problem solver, whatever the task may be. I can work supervised or unsupervised. I can manage workers (laborers, porters, and handymen) and outside contractors if necessary, and I have a great attitude.
I have worked in construction/trades for 16 years. I'm experienced in the following:
* Residential renovation and commercial
* Demolition, sheetrock, and framing (wood and metal)
* Tiling, taping, plastering, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work
I worked as a superintendent with two management companies, eliminating HPD violations for 8 buildings in the Bronx (a 3-building, 75-unit complex), Manhattan (3 five-story walk-ups, approx. 64 units), Brooklyn (2 four-story walk-ups), and also 2 in Westchester County (a 24-unit, 4-story walk-up and 3 family homes).
I also do installing of mortise locks/cylinders, re-tiling of floors/bathrooms, and removal of old tenants' unwanted furniture. I also do the following:
* trim carpentry
* hanging doors
* installing of GCPI outlets
* molding
* hanging cabinets
* painting
* insulation and drywall
* plumbing
* wood staining
* cleaning
* stripping and waxing floors
* garbage/waste recycling, etc.
I'm very familiar with all power tools and safety. I worked for independent contractors — Benso Construction (demo-foreman for 4 years, doing window framing, installing beams and sub-floor) and Demo Real Estate Managements Dakko Property/Standard Realty Handyman (in-depth painting, tiling, plaster and maintenance).
I have worked as a general contractor in Novalex for demolition of 5-story walk-ups in Harlem, NY, and Brickens Construction with local 79 laborers' renovation of a public school (BX, NY).
As an in-depth contractor, I have done residential renovation of 12 townhomes in Phillipsburg, NJ, hanging doors, installing locks, framing, sheetrock, flooring, taping, painting, hanging cabinets, etc.
