- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you travel to me know that I wont charge you travel costs. Included in all of my prices(if im traveling) is time, labor, and travel fees. Usually not much, but you can cut your costs by coming to me. It is very time consuming for me to pack my kits and travel back and forth to clients. If you want multiple services then I can negotiate my prices. Also I cannot give quotes on hair weaves unless you are specific. But know I charge $80 and up, No negotiation. Same goes with makeup application, I can quote if your are specific, for example if you want eyelashes included, a more complicated and time consuming look or if its for a photo/video shoot and you require touch ups, multiple looks or need to me to be present for entire duration of the shoot. In order for me to give you any exact price I need as much details as possible. It will save us having to go back and forth.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I try to research different trends, techniques and looks. i attend seminars and classes when I can.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've done my own hair since I was about 11. I then started experimenting with my own hair dying, cutting, etc. I learned to cornrow when I was 13 and started doing everyone in the neighborhoods hair. Beauty has always fascinated me, and combining that with my passion and need to creatively express myself, I knew it was what I wanted to do.
