My piano lesson is always a highlight of my week! It's a fun challenge that I enjoy preparing for. Emil's teaching style is unique; he makes his students laugh and takes us far beyond just learning the notes. From the very first lesson Emil shares his knowledge of classical music history and stresses the importance of nuanced musical dynamics, which many teachers unfortunately tend to neglect when teaching beginners.

As a teacher myself, I appreciate Emil's commitment to seeing his students progress and his obvious love for the piano and its literature.

Thanks to my wonderful teacher Emil, I am back on the journey I started in childhood to playing the piano. Emil's teaching is also helping me to listen to and enjoy music in a different and more satisfying way.

I started learning from Emil three years ago. He makes learning the piano fun while still being educational. What started out as an interest in piano has grown to a passion because of Emil's guidance. I highly recommend you try. You will never find another teacher like him!

I have studied piano lessons with Emil for four years. My piano playing has improved tremendously over those years. Emil's patience and knowledge makes studying with him a joy.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the teacher about their educational background and whom they studied with. Also ask about whom their teachers studied with. I can trace my teachers directly back to Beethoven himself. Make sure that the teacher stresses proper hand position from the very beginning. Also, technique and theory must be included as well as the repertoire. You want a teacher who connects with his students, and loves what he does. If the teacher has a website (as I do) you can actually see pictures of his students. I also have pictures of my teachers on my website. You should get the best teacher available for the beginner. The worst mistake you can make is to start with a mediocre teacher and take the attitude that the teacher is good enough for now. No, you want the best teacher from the very beginning.
