Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My work stands out because anyone can install a weave or some hair extensions, but NOT everyone can make your hair install look as natural as your real hair. If strangers have to ask and wonder if your hair is 100% yours, I've did my job, if someone flags you down in the street because your hair looks amazing, I've did my job... So my work stands out because it literally turn heads :0)
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. What I love most is that I don't consider this my "JOB". I absolutely LOVE what I do. This is a form of art, I have REGULAR clients that are traveling from as far as London & Canada, clients that travel from California, Miami, Atlanta & all over the country to visit Brooklyn, NY for their hair. What I love most is that people are so impressed with my skill that they believe its worth traveling to get to me. I love that I can transform someone into a knock out and lift their spirits and self esteem. I love that I make someone happy and bring out their inner diva by just using my hands. Its amazing to see what I'm capable of each time ...
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Did I want to do hair all the time?
Doing hair wasn't my plan at all...I've always known how to do hair because I always use to do my own hair at a young age, my friends, siblings and anyone who would allow me to, but at that time it was just something I knew how to do and never thought about making it a profession until my grandmother said why don't you go get your license to do hair ... I actually went to H.S. for Law and Government Studies - lol complete 360 huh ?
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. I'm very proud of the work I perform on clients with alopecia. So many women suffer from this scalp disorder who thought they were forced to settle with cheap wigs.
I was able to install a Full head weave, that was able to bring back the confidence my clients were lacking. That was a VERY proud moment for me.
