Jamie has been our dog walker for almost a year and is terrific -- reliable, polite, and very flexible (so necessary for our crazy schedules!) Our dog loves him and the pictures he sends of her having fun in the park are always a great boost to the day. Highly recommended!

Jamie provides an exceptional level of service. He is available to walk my dog at the drop of a hat, even in the rain, when something comes up or I get stuck at work late. He is gracious when plans change and I don't need him to walk my dog (even if I let him know at the last minute). Additionally he helped me out a lot by taking my dog to/from a boarding facility one weekend when I went out of town, and gave me updates the whole time. His rates are very reasonable as well, and my rather moody dog really liked him right off the bat. I recommend his services highly!

Jaime walks my Husky, Ice, 5 days a week. Ice always comes back from his walks tired and happy, exactly as he should be. Jamie takes great care and really loves dogs.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. It is important to check references and interview before hiring.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. A true love for all dogs.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Do you own any dogs yourself and for how long.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I am a true animal lover and not in this business to get rich. I go the extra mile to ensure that my client's dogs have all their needs met.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Spending my workdays with all different types of dogs and feeling fulfilled about the service I provide.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. The most commonly asked question is probably how will we know that you actually walk our dog for the full amount of time paid for?
My answer is- Feel free to request references from other customers of mine. Also, you should observe your dog's behavior. I actually give all dogs entrusted to my care a solid half an hour or hour of pretty rigorous exercise. By looking at me you will see that I am physically fit and definitely capable of spending many hours exercising dogs throughout my work days. A well exercised dog is going to exhibit signs of being happier and better behaved. A 10 minute walk around the block is not going to produce the desired results.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I wish they knew just how grueling the work can be at times due to weather conditions. I also wish they knew how fulfilling my job is.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I previously worked in construction and derived little pleasure from it. I have always noticed how happy I am when around dogs. So it seemed like a perfect fit.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Working with an extremely shy and introverted dog that I was able to connect with over time.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. You must love being outdoors no matter what the weather. You also must have a profound respect for all animals.
