Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. I would advise people to have details about what they are looking for, and what they are looking to accomplish.
Its helpful when they are clear on who their audience or customer is and can provide details about this as well. Lastly, its great to have references for other designs or websites or images that can help me understand what they are looking for visually.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I often find myself wishing clients understood the value of the talent / intuition that goes into the work in addition to the time / labor.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. 1. What exactly to I need from the designer?
2. Who are my competitors and what image do they have... what does their identity say?
3. What is the list of deliverables I will need... ex. logo, business card, website, how many pages will be on the site etc etc
