Are the mechanical systems sound? How old are the roof, boiler and appliances? Are the defects you see merely cosmetic or signs of deeper problems? What about the defects you don't see (after all, love is blind)? Is the house merely quaint or is it inefficient, improperly constructed, or even unsafe?
I am a New York state licensed and insured home inspector with 35 years in the building trades. I am a member of NACHI- the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. If you are buying a house, condo or co-op, you need a home inspection to protect what will be your biggest investment.
I inspect 1-to-4 family homes, condos and co-ops and provide an easy-to-understand written report with photos clearly showing all areas of concern and what needs to be done. This report is also web-hosted and can be viewed online if you can't wait for overnight mail.
