William of Flora & Fauna was EXCELLENT. From our first contact on he was professional and listened to what I was hoping to achieve for a home dinner party for 12. I had never hired a personal chef so William helped guide me toward choices and was flexible with any shifts that needed to happen. When he said he will be arriving at a certain time he was spot on. Love williams friendly, easy going and professionalism and his cooking was delicious!!! Having William do all the cooking serving cleanup made me fully enjoy this special party in my home. I hired this chef &l company so I can give my wife a personal chef experience for Valentine's day. From three weeks out the communication was seamless, easy going and informative. From sharing ideas of what compliments the entree to even bringing dessert with ice cream, Chef Will was on point with everything he said he would do! I would and will definitely book them again and recommend anyone else to book them!!!

Chef William showed great dedication to cook us our meal despite coming against a snow storm in our area. He was flexible and communicated consistently with me. We commend him for that! I was disappointed that he used hoisin sauce for 2 entrees because it lacked variety and was not what we agreed on. I understand that some ingredients may not have been available, but I’d prefer for that to be communicated. Most of the entrees were good, but nothing to rave about except for the Cornish Hen which was cooked to perfection! I also feel he could improve on his presentation of the entrees by coming near the guests and explaining each dish rather than saying it from the kitchen but that is a personal preference. Lastly, we had offered him and his partner a drink which we made for them, but they took it upon themselves to drink 2 of our mini fireballs which we were saving to use later that evening for boozy cocoa. We didn’t realize this until after they had left and we felt it was unprofessional. The photos below are from a standard iPhone camera. No filters or professional angles so you can see what everything looks like.

I’d highly recommend Flora & Fauna for any dinner parties or catering events. Nacho (Ignacio Gonzales) was our chef and he was amazing! He cooked for 12 guests in my tiny Brooklyn apt for my 30th birthday dinner party celebration. The attention to detail Nacho had when cooking and plating to ensure quality was great. He’s also super nice and easy to talk to! He became our friend at the end of the night and would love to hire him again for any future dinner parties!

Working with a extremely small kitchen and a last minute change of date, Chef William pulled off an extraordinary dinner for my mom's 92nd birthday. His attention to detail in both the dishes and plating made the night. He was easy to work with adjusting the menu to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences and still made each course interesting and delicious.
