FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was given a fully manual camera by my father for my 14th birthday and have been taking pictures ever since. I studied the subject throughout school and then dedicated a few years to technical training and assisting so that I can produce on a professional level. Even if I wasn't getting paid for it, though, I would always be taking pictures. It's in my blood.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise future clients to first of all, decide what you are planning to use the images for. What are your direct needs, and what needs might you have down the road? Second, I'd suggest they have either a face-to-face or telephone consultation with a photographer before meeting for a shoot, to be sure everyone is clear as to the objectives and expectations of the shoot. Third, have fun and let the photographer do their work.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It's easy to fluke into a great photo. To produce great images under any circumstance - with limitations on lighting, space, personality, or time, requires professionalism.
