Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. When looking for a graphic designer, make sure they understand your business, your business identity and personality (yes, your business does have a personality and if you can tap into this effectively, you will win authenticity points), and what marketing goals you're trying to achieve. Understanding this first will help them help you. If they don't know about your industry, are they willing to do the research and find out? Are they problem solvers? This is key. The ability to creative find solutions to problems, whether they be for marketing, design, or overall business strategy is the difference between a mediocre and fantastic designer.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. This a great question! As a designer, we wish our clients knew how much time and effort goes into a concept. It's not only about the final design but also the communication that goes into developing the idea, the amount of time it takes to render different designs, and the amount of drafts we toss out that we never even show you! Like all artistry, the trick is to make it look flawless, amazing and effortless because it is just "right." We keep on top of the latest software, learn the latest skills, and are always constantly learning in order to provide our clients the best. As a designer, I am not only an artist and communicator, but lifelong learner that has a passion for creating for translating your business needs into a marketing solution that is effective and powerful.
