I located Progressive Computer Solutions with my Web research because I was looking specifically for a local business where I could interact with a professional in person. The first thing that impressed me was the Web site for the company and the testimonials from clients. I contacted the company and they replied immediately even though it was a holiday weekend. Very impressive. The extensive background experience of Chris and the service he provided was extremely professional and very affordable. The company guarantees no charges for labor if files are not recovered. I do not think you will find this type of guarantee anywhere else. I highly recommend working with this company no matter where you are located – it is an extremely professional company.

My son's hard drive crashed with a lot of irreplaceable photos on it. Chris worked hard to recover the files without having to resort to more expensive lab options. He took time to discuss the options and expectations. The price was fair, and he kept me up to date throughout the few days it took for successful recovery. Highly recommended.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for a local data recovery shop that does not ship your hard drive or flash drive to an out-of-state lab. Packages often get lost in shipping, and if your data is valuable enough to consider a data recovery service, then it's too valuable to take a chance of having it lost forever!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Am I charged whether or not files are recovered?

Do you provide free estimate or is there a bench fee?

Do you perform the work locally or do you ship the drive to a lab?
