You ever wanna throw your computer out the window because technology can be so frustrating? Well maybe it's because I was dropped on my head when I was a kid but I love technology and my goal in life is to help people with the support of technology so they don't have to love it.
I'm Benjamin with techwithease.com and what I know is that people don't like to spend a lot of money on the marketing of their website or on the making of it because it can be really confusing. So I have a five step approach to make websites this month for $500.
Already have a website? I have a complimentary review-your-website service where I'll spend 30 minutes looking at your website and I'll give you 3-point feedback so that you know when you're ready to update.
To reach us fill out this form, email benjamin@techwithease.com or call 917.753.0127 to speak with Benjamin. – Aug 05, 2011 at 8:29 pm

I was very pleased with the service. My computer runs better than when it was new! Ben is a very pleasant and patient person and really gets the job done right. He charges you a very fair price not an arm and a leg like larger companies.

I have had the pleasure of working with Ben Altman for several months. His work is impeccable and he always meets the many deadlines that my company demands. Our publishing company has required Ben's expertise for two seasons and he has exceeded our expectations. We would be pleased to recommend him and look forward to continuing our relationship with him.

Earlier this morning, Ben Altman completed the following projects to my complete satisfaction: installation of a DVD player/recorder and showing me how to use it; installation of new telephone and negotiating with Verizon to correct a problem with the fax that's on the same line; and installation of a voice recognition software program on my computer. I found him a very good teacher and he charged a fee that I found eminently fair.

I want to thank you for your invaluable help to me. I felt that I'm poor on the computer. You gave me self confidence; you have infinite patience; you encourage me to try.
I also appreciate the fact that you always arrive promptly and spend the time constructively. I'm lucky to have you as my teacher. --Viola Harris– Viola
Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Make sure you vibe with the person. We can forget that the basic, fundamental human relationship is crucial in having an effective business relationship. If you like how I sound, or how anyone that you're hiring sounds, and feel like you resonate with me or them, go for it. Otherwise, don't. Trust your body, your heart.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. I would ask, "what's your overall goal?" Is it simply "fix the issue?" Sometimes that's sufficient but if the guy leaves mud on your carpet, that doesn't quite work well either, does it? I hate to give answers like this away but I think the right answer is "to be in service and intend for overall satisfaction." That includes resolving the technical issue as well as connecting with the customer and letting them know you're there for them, you hear them and that it's OK that they're struggling. It would be OK to take a breather and relax now.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I offer an immaculate amount of patience when teaching my talented students. I elegantly see my student's intelligence and joyfully encourage the inherent curiosity that we all have. This has proven to allow highly discouraged students to find a deep satisfaction in learning.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I most appreciate the sense of satisfaction my students obtain after gaining even a slightly better understanding of the often intimidating world of computers.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How do you know all this?
I have been working with computers and other electronics since age 5. For more than 20 years I have learned how electronics are designed and have developed an intuitive sense of how to navigate electronic devices.
I sometimes compare it to music. People that have studied music and thus paid attention to it for many years can appreciate music they hear at any occasion in a different way than someone who has not studied music and been tuned in to it.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I wish that customers knew that we, as Tech Support Consultants, are human, too. We don't always know the answers right away. Sometimes we get stumped, too! Believe it or not, it's true. I suppose what makes us good at our job though, is that we have the analytical skills, the troubleshooting skills, to dig our ways out of it. We don't take "stuck" for an answer.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. The recent growing popularity of mobile devices can draw away from time spent in front of the computer. If you are looking to learn basic computer usage, consider learning how to check email and browse the internet on a mobile device such as an iPhone or Blackberry rather than a Desktop or Laptop. There can be a nice bump up in convenience.
