I do consultation on all U.S. tax matters for non-resident aliens and U.S. citizens living and working abroad. I also do preparation of federal and all state income tax returns.

As an enrolled agent, I represent tax payers before the examination (audit), appeals, and collection branches of the Internal Revenue Service.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure the Enrolled Agent has experience with your type of situation. Inquire if they are familiar with anything that brought you anxiety in the past. Ask for referrals from friends and colleagues you trust.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a federally-authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and who is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service for audits, collections, and appeals.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Make sure the Enrolled Agent has experience with your type of situation. Understand the fees the Enrolled Agent will charge. Some are "flat fee", while others charge per hour. Ask who completes the work, the professional, an associate? Finally, ask if the provider offers year round service, or are they "tax season only".

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. The buyer must feel comfortable with the Enrolled Agent. If you will work with the provider remotely (via phone or internet), are you OK with that? Some buyers prefer to work in person, and that's OK.
