Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. New Kitchens, Bathrooms, Base & Crown Moldings installed and painted, change from Bath Tub to Shower stall, Complete Gutting and renovation of apartments, homes, New Sheet Rock for Commercial or Residential properties. Skim coat ceilings and walls and paint, New wood or Ceramic, Marble flooring.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. If you are doing a renovation of a bathroom or kitchen, some ideas from either magazines, photos or do some preliminary shopping for cabinets, vanities, faucets, Ceramic tile colors, materials, etc...

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. If we are Licensed & Insured?
If all work is guaranteed and for how long?
Could changes or additions be added to the scope of work once started?
"Cheap" always turns out "More Expensive", the reason being, use of inferior products or lack of proper support, etc...
What is in the contract, is what is to be paid for to be done, nothing more.
Nobody, absolutely nobody can afford to work for free,
false promises make clients very upset.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. During a demolition of a kitchen in a home of one client hidden in the walls was a jar filled with assorted gold pieces and a diamond, my wife being a jewelry store owner offered to examine the goods, upon cleaning up the diamond noticed it was a "Fancy Pink" round old miners cut, we set the diamond in a beautiful setting and he gave it to his wife surprising her for her 25th wedding anniversary!!! It was great being part of the process.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My teacher, an Architect, hired me in 1973 to renovate Stores Locations, and later we built Commercial buildings all through out Flushing & Forest Hills, NY from the ground up, two story, five story, malls and then later, we did Residential Interiors, and custom homes from the ground up...Up to from $350,000.00 upto $20, 000,000.00 homes.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We just finished a dream kitchen for a client in Belle Harbor, open floor plan, being an old home we made several structural and plumbing changes that were not indicated in the Architects drawing and were direct chase lines going to the second floor, we managed to makes changes and create a walk through wall changing all the pipes into the ceiling and the walls...She was so worried once we discovered it, and so happy, once we finished it along with the rest of the complete renovation.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We are are required to update all safety precautions on all job sites, as well as Asbestos & Lead abatement's, etc.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. People are now having Ceramic or marble, Granite, Porcelain tiles, installed in a different shape, a more rectangular shape, as some wood flooring applications. This is a very new trend that we like too!

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. We just completed a brownstone renovation in lower Manhattan, NYU area, loved working down there..Great Architecture, restored original Crown and Base Moldings, structural repairs, steel beams, for weight baring new walls, added new Partition walls, changed bathroom and kitchen fixtures painted, installed new lighting, and new marble counter tops. The cost was considerable, 12 weeks later it was a new home..

A. How do we find enough work to keep us busy year in and year out?
Word of mouth! That is the best and only advertisement we do, our clients advertise for us, we are blessed with great clients...
