Horsebackriding can be a dangerous sport so it is important to know your riding instructor will be teaching the beginner student proper body position while on the horse in the initial lessons. The instructor may put the horse on a lunge line so that he/she controls the horse while the rider practices correct position and builds up need muscles. Once the rider demonstrates correct position then they may control the horse. This ensures rider safety and builds the riders confidence as well.
