My husband and I contacted Garrett to do our bathroom shower tile. We scheduled an appt but Garrett called day before job was to be done telling us he had to do something with his daughter or she wasn't well. We rescheduled for him to come by in the evening to get idea of what we want done and yet another excuse which dealt with him having to pick up his wife from train. We figured we'd give one more chance and this time Garrett was sending one of his workers to do the job. The worker that was supposedly sent never called or showed up and when we relayed this to Garrett he seemed shocked! After several attempts of him apologizing and promising to do the work, we went with another contractor. Garrett is a very likeable person but seems to make a lot of excuses. The high level of unprofessionalism was unexpected.

I asked Garrett (of Morningstar Artisans) to provide an estimate for enlarging a walkway to the kithchen in order to enable the passage of a wheelchair for a handi-capped occupant of the home. He arrived the same day and quoted a price which was fair and said he could complete the job in a day and offered a few dates of availability. We agreed on a day for the job and Garrett showed up exactly the time he agreed to. The job was difficult because the home is old and Garrett spent much time on detail to ensure the end result was perfect. His workmanship was terrific and he went the extra mile to make certain that the wheelchair was able to climb the new saddle which proved to be a challange. Bottom line, I would not hesitate to to hire Garrett for any home improvement job in the future. He cares about his work and wants the customer to be happy with the end result.

Carol, I have texted you twice to begin your job which I said would be started after the new year. I disagree with your rating as I have not even worked for you.

Garrett was very professional, courteous and competent. We hired Garrett to assemble a TV Stand with storage compartments, a cabinet for storage and to put up blinds in our new apartment. Garrett efficiently completed each task to our satisfaction. We will continue to reach out to him when needed.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been involved in the Home Improvement field from an early age. Having retired from one career, I have now made it my focus to build a reputable business whose focus is centered in customer service and the highest quality of work.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would say that the best advise to follow is that if the person on the phone is rushing you, then move to someone else. It is important that the contractor takes the time to develop a relationship with their clients. Much can be said about someone only interested in chasing a dollar.
