Having worked with children for the last decade as a karate and yoga instructor, it's easy for me to get kids to have fun and relax in front of my camera. And having worked as a professional actor in the industry for the last two decades, I know what you need for professional headshots.

    Michelle is a pleasure to work with, is professional and organized, and got incredible results for me, even in difficult conditions. Her prices are very reasonable, considering the super high quality of her results. I've since referred her to a number of friends for both headshots and children's parties. She gets great photos out of even somewhat challenging subjects, and also works incredibly well with children, she's the best I've seen with them.

    I worked with Michelle to have my head shots done for my local yoga business. This was the first time I've had my photo professionally taken, and Michelle made me feel completely at home during the session. She kept the conversation going and after a few minutes, it felt less like a photography session and more like two friends spending some time together. What came out of that afternoon was so much more than I could have hoped for. The photos represent exactly what I wanted, which was a photo of me that looked LIKE me (and not an overly made up version of my face). What Michelle produced from our session was something that I was proud to put out into the world as the face of my business. I would work with Michelle again without any hesitation, and I have already recommended her services to several colleagues.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Choose a photographer whose photos speak to you personally. If the portfolio has a lot of photos that align with your personality, it's the best first step to take.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Post-production of digital photos takes a lot more work that the days of shooting film. Shooting digitally seems easier during the shoot since you can see the images immediately, but ultimately after the shoot, the photographer has a lot more work to do to make the images more "forgiving" like film. Digital picks up every pore on the skin, every blemish, every wrinkle,

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What are my next steps after the shoot; after I receive the disc of saved images? How do I view the pictures? How do I save a back-up of the images? Where should I go to get prints made?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. What are your needs for these pictures? What is your budget? Who else in your "team" needs to approve of these shots (talent agent/manager)?
