Desired cooking skills
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Hi to my future clients :). I'm a small, hands on caterer/teacher and I would love to cook for you. I love to teach adult or teen beginners, set up small cooking parties, cook a romantic dinner for two or help you host a small dinner party in the privacy of your own home while following strict COVID-19 protocol (ie: numbers of people, safety and sanitary guidelines). I scour all farm markets and the finest specialty stores for the best ingredients (including my own garden and chicken coop) for my clients. My food is best described as wholesome, traditional (peasant style), and delicious - no silly gimmicks. My food speaks for itself. I was inspired by my many travels through France, Spain, Italy, the UK and the good old USA (we have amazing fresh ingredients and they need to speak for themselves!). I'm happy to help a host with cooking entertainment, or just simply be invisible; providing my best cooking for your enjoyment. I have over 15 years experience, went to Le Cordon Bleu in London, currently own Tack and Tweed a blog and small equestrian company, was co-founder of Petite Palate Gourmet Baby Food, have been featured on the Food Network as well as other NYC TV, magazines and blogs and have hosted family meals for many distinguished clients in Westchester, NYC and the Hamptons. I currently live in Northern Westchester; in addition to teaching and cooking for clients family and friends, I also am an equestrian. Although I have lived and enjoyed the city in the past, I am a lover of the country lifestyle and try to reflect that in my cooking. I have 2 children, 2 dogs, 5 chickens and a horse. Please let me know what I can do for you!

I would highly recommend Lisa for your future event! She is very pleasant to work with, highly professional and very flexible in switching between different things that were necessary to do throughout the party! She is very fast and felt that she packed so much work in 4 hours that she spent at the party! It would have been impossible to pull it off without her help! We sincerely appreciated your help and would highly recommend her expertise!

Lisa catered a holiday party of 50 guests for us, cocktail food and dinner. She is the best caterer I have EVER hired. Lisa is professional, creative, knows her stuff and uses high-quality fresh ingredients. I recommend her without qualification.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I normally charge an hourly chef fee and invoice the groceries (and any alcohol) separately at cost.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I typically help my clients host small in-home dinner parties. I also cook weekly meals that clients can enjoy on their own time.
