Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Admittedly, there are many photographers out there, as anyone with a camera can claim to be a photographer. However, as with any professional, some are more highly skilled and professional than others. Check their images and rates to see if you like their work, then check their rates, which should be reasonable-not too high and not too low. I'm a working professional photographer for the past 3 years, and have led highly successful group and individual workshops, have very happy commercial clients, and of course 100's of homes and businesses are enjoying my fine art.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Since everyone is a photographer these days with their cheap cameras, make sure you know and ask what the photographer's real experience and clients include, because good photography requires much more than just pointing and clicking.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I climb trees and photograph from the top of them, to capture unique views over the Adirondack landscape. I also do multiple image, HDR, panoramic work. These things set me way ahead of the competition.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What's your camera? Answer: a Canon 5d mk II. But, it's much more than a camera -anyone can just point and click away. There's extensive editing, and creative processes, that I do, too.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. I became a photographer because you love what I do, spending time in the outdoors, helping people appreciate nature, and owning my own business. I have a real passion for my job, and am very blessed. Only do this if this is what you're passionate about.
