FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask to see some sort of portfolio. A professional will always have one available to share, be it a website, or something physical. If all they have is something free, such as a Facebook Fanpage, Flickr, ect. think twice. Someone who is truly professional will have a domain name and/or a physical portfolio because they understand what it means to do business.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The one thing that I wish people knew, and this is something that every professional photographer wishes people knew, is that having a digital camera does not make someone a professional. It takes dedication, hard work, desire, drive, and a lot of experience either gained through school or serious self-studying to be a professional. It has nothing to do with the camera a person owns, but how well they can use it.
