There have been some recent developments in state and local taxes that have ramifications for freelancers. Some are good such as the recent increase in threshold when New York City Unincorporated Business taxes become due and some are bad like the recently imposed New York State Metropolitan Commuter Transportation Mobility Tax.
Don’t wait until the end of the year to deal with your taxes. Planning and paying of estimated taxes are critical and I can help you. Also, if you have prior year tax returns outstanding, now is a great time to take care of this.
