With 8 years of experience in the industry, I have worked with some of the most accomplished and successful people in the world of beauty. I have worked on such Celebs as Sabi, of Cobra Starship, Kaya, formally of the Pussycat Dolls, the infamous Parker Posey, along with many more! My forte is color. I have a specific eye for creating reds, but have extensively trained with such companies as Aveda, Redken, Wella, Joico, Alphaparf, Goldwell, Hair Italy, and L'Oreal to create unlimited color possibilities for every one of my clients.

I offer private in-home visits for residents in NY and NJ. If a salon experience is preferred, clients have that option as well. I am certified in:
- Sunpure Brazilian Keratin Straightener (100%
formaldehyde free)
- Liscio Japanese Hair Straightening. (Both basic and
advanced classes have been taken)

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. Cover shoot for LOOK Magazine:

Cover model Lianna, was draped in threads created by an up and coming NY designer, who is expanding her line over seas and all throughout Europe.

Her face was made to look flawless and monotone, leaving the focus point on her lips which were painted electric blue, and highlighted by a holographic golden lime green hue in the center.

Her gorgeous long blond hair was pulled back loosely into a high "poof", and then twisted into a fish tale braid, which was then laid over the side of her shoulder.

Lianna posed her way through the streets of New York's East Village on a perfect summer day.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. There are many things to consider when hiring a service professional in my industry. Many people don't know what they need to ask or what they are even looking for! I'be put together a list of questions to consider when hiring someone for a job:

1. How many years of experience do you have?

You are going to want someone with at least 2 years experience in the field. All professionals in the beauty industry that are experienced will be able to answer the next couple of questions with ease.

2. What are your travel costs/ do you have any extra fees added on to certain services?

All experienced Professionals typically require a travel fee, if traveling to your requested location. Remember, it takes time and money to travel to any location. A service professionals time and travel should never be considered free, but should be within a realistic price bracket.

3. Can you perform this type of service?

Be sure about what you are expecting your final result to be. If you are unsure about whether or not a stylist/makeup artist can translate your vision to real life , ask to see pictures of past work done on other jobs the stylist worked on, or a trial session. Trial sessions are usually low in cost and are the best way to communicate face to face to get your vision heard loud and clear.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I am a perfectionist. My work is done thoroughly, and my #1 concern is the happiness of my clients.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Putting a smile on someone's face because I made them feel beautiful on the outside, as well as on the inside. That's the most rewarding part about my job and it's what keeps my passion for this industry alive.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. There is always something new to learn! Especially in this field, where technology is ever changing the face of the beauty world.
I love taking classes on all the new techniques, especially from the most world renowned names in the business like Redken, Alphaparf Milano, L'Oreal , Wella, Joico... And the list goes on! And thats just in the hair world!

Makeup brands like Makeup Forever, NARS, ULTA, Smashbox, MAC, etc. offer tons of classes to people in my field to further educate on the latest trends and techniques as well.

Keeping up with all of this new information is a MUST in my industry in order to give your clients what they not only want, but what they need as well.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. Brazilian Keratin Straightening Service:

This service starts at a base price of $250. However, length, thickness, and texture of the hair all play a role in pricing. The given base price can be lower or higher, depending on these factors.

Also take into consideration, the final result you are looking for. If you are looking to achieve pin straight hair on more permanent level, this service is not for you. However , if you are looking to reduce your curl and blow dry time at home, banish your frizz, and strengthen and fortify your hair while still keeping its body, this is the PERFECT service for you.

All Brazillian Keratin services are done with products that are 100% FORMALDEHYDE FREE, and in compliance with OSHA regulations.
