Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Experience is the best teacher is what they say. So sometimes finding a bargain, or someone who has not much experience in the service your looking for, can do more harm then good. Ask questions that will satisfy your need to know more about the service your looking for. If quality is what your looking for, be sure to look ask for real pictures of work done on other clients. When it comes to hair extensions, there are so many stylist offering this service. But there are a handful a great stylist who's work stands out more than others. Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. When it comes to what questions to ask, should depend on the service the client is looking for. For example, if its a great colorist your looking for, you should ask about the color line they use, and is there color specialist on staff to perform the service. If your looking for a hair replacement, hair extensions specialist, a hair relaxer, straightener, perm or other services. ask the questions that will help you make the right choice in the salon and stylist you choose for the service. Pictures says a lot without words spoken. Communication is the key. If you can't get the answers to your questions perhaps you should continue your search.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. There is a hair extensions method that does not require any glue braids or weave. When its done on the right person, the results are flawless. My client was very happy. She sent an email letting me know how happy she was, and that she finally got the new job she had been wanting for a while. These hair extensions can last for 3 months or longer, however I don't recommend wearing anything pass 3 months. When people ask me if they can wear them longer I let them know it's not good for their hair long term. The good thing is the hair can be reused several times. This is one reason why I tell my clients to get them redone, or taken out not pass 3 months.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We are always in training. Since most of the stylist at Salon Zeviar have year's of experience in the hair and beauty industry, we all learn from each other. In addition to offering monthly training classes at our salon, as well as have other companies come in to train our staff with the latest with everything to help better serve our clients. We are in constant movement keeping up with our niche market. We are always on the cutting edge of the latest developments with the growing trends of the hair and beauty industry. It's never ending creative expressions is what we all feed off of each other.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. The greatest strengths of the salon as a whole is paying attention to details on what the clients needs are. Just like a doctor always learning and keeping up with new technologies. This is what we do at Salon Zeviar. One of our strengths is always looking for better ways to serve our clients. There are several stylist here that do specialty services, we only allow a stylist with the greatest strength of what they do best, service a client for it. Therefore there is a great chance that the client will come back for that same service, or feel confident to try other services we offer. Every new client is screened first to find out what their needs are. This will help us determine what stylist has the best experience and, the most strength in providing that service for the client.
