Danny Kayne’s words are something Nate consistently lives by. People know Nate as Tsunami, which speaks magnitudes to the person he is today. He's a risk taker and take's everything by storm.

Creativity is in large, a part of who he is. But he never knew it would take him into the world of hairstyling. But, when Paul Mitchell The School opened in his hometown of Modesto, California, he figured, why not give it a shot?

Not once has he looked back. It is now an infatuation that has no end. He is constantly challenging himself, and pushing himself to master new aspects of the industry.

He is specializing in cutting, styling and extensions. Working as a key hairstylist for runway, and doing styling for red carpet and editorials, such as upcoming features in 944, 13minutes, Vietsun, LOV, Arena and Glamour Magazine.

Each experience helps him to expand his knowledge base, and drive himself to foster creativity in new ways. Nate was also a contestant on the new upcoming Oxygen show Hair Battle Spectacular, which is a fantasy hair competition show.

Nate has quickly been making a name for himself in Los Angeles, and continually gaining new celebrity clients. He will soon be working bi-coastally between Los Angeles and New York.

  As a professional makeup artist, I am proud to not only call Tsunami a friend but also an amazing hair stylist. We have collaborated on several projects for photo shoots, and his work is always gorgeous, flawless, and feminine. Add that to his superior work ethic and glowing personality, and he is the total package. (And not to mention, he's pretty easy on the eyes, so that doesn't hurt ;) I have never met a man that can so easily understand how a woman wants to look and feel, and he knows that a woman's hair is one of her best accessories. From simple cuts to the most gorgeous and current updos, his work is simply spectacular!

  Nate is a creative genius! Very professional and great work ethics. He made my runway models look fabulous in their hair and it complemented the direction of the look I want. We collaborated for 2 fashion shows last year in Los Angeles. He is definitely on board again this year for my Spring/Summer'11 show during the Closing Night of LA Fashion Week. He is definitely the best hairstylist to hire!

  I met Nate when he came to my rescue for a professional event with the Fashion Group International LA. Well known fashion designers were invited to show their design on a model representing their Muse. I had a two day notice to think of a theme, find a model and someone to complete the visuals. Nate created an amazing hair creation that was original, perfect with my long gown. He worked in a diamante brooch at a fabulous angle in the model's hair that balanced the glamour of the gown. Many can create elaborate hair design,t Nate does that but manages to enhance the beauty of the model. That's artistic experience that any designer appreciates. Nate is highly professional but lighthearted and easy to work with. He can think on the spot and work with the materials at hand. I would trust him with any hair design project. Fresh, elegant, creative...Nate will make you look good.
