Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Le Salon d' Art is a Boutique Hair Salon and Art gallery.

We provide our clientele with a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, without any false pretensions. Our stylists are trained in the latest haircut styles and coloring techniques.

Ask about our Devacurl haircut for curly hair and our current offers in Brazilian Keratin treatment.

Le Salon d' Art holds every first Thursday of the month an opening party inaugurating a new art exhibit for emerging artist preferably from the Lower East Side.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Hair Stylists are creative persons. When a client allows us through color and cut to express our inspiration we feel accomplished.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Clients usually are not to clear about their expectations and assume we just know what they want. A client should ask specific questions about their cut or color and make sure the stylist understands clearly the clients expectations.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Besides sharing our knowledge among ourselves on a continues basis, we also regularly attend classes in hair-cutting styles and coloring techniques. There is so much changing in this industry, so its important to stay informed.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Currently there are a lot of new developments in hair colors. Before it took 30 minutes to process.

Nowadays we have a hair color from Schwartzkopf that only takes 10 minutes to process, giving a very nice finish and gray coverage.

A Men hair color processes in only 5 minutes blending the color in an extremely natural way, with spectacular gray coverage.

... and without the usual uncomfortable smell!
