Introduction: As you read this, you may be at a critical point of frustration with your career -- but as have probably discovered, career management can be a pretty complex topic with lots of nuances. It's not your fault -- did we ever take a class on how to manage our career? Basically, career management can be broken down into four categories. The four categories are: defining direction, packaging yourself, connecting & selling, and ongoing career management. When I work with someone who is at a professional cross-roads and doesn't know what they should do next, I find that their challenge usually falls into one or two of the areas outlined above. It's really frustrating when you are facing this dilemma, but the good news is, I have lots of experience working with people in different stages of their careers and have helped many move forward into new positions to get to where they want to go, and I can help you navigate your way through those sticky points so you can successfully get from Point A (that sucky job) to Point B (the career that is rewarding and fulfilling)! I LOVE being a resource for people as they manage their careers. It is SO rewarding for me personally when I am able to see people finding work that they are passionate about and really enjoy doing! When I meet with people, I hear the frustration and can empathize because I have been there also at times during my career. But what's really great though is when we can move from you being angry and frustrated with your situation to identifying the possibilities to then getting laser focused to finding and securing the right job at the right company! My approach can also include helping clients navigate the political landscape within their current organization, helping them identify opportunities, getting a good resume together, identifying the hidden job market, interviewing, negotiating salary, etc., I love it all!
